Hang Gliders Get Celestial Credit

the cover

If flying is a sin as it is described in the book and in the funny poem, we all go straight to heaven.

Interesting theological debate at the Georgia Straight.

Flying is a sin!!

Well God help the ‘Flying Nun’ then!

Do you get carbon credits for using a hang glider instead?

Or perhaps you get ‘celestial credits’ when the airliner sends your hang glider into a tailspin due to ‘jetwash’ as those big jets engines thunder by?

Repent ye pilots spewing carbon into the atmosphere! Airline hostesses don sack cloth and ashes for the season of Kyoto Karbon Kredits has arrived!

Oh the shame, the vanity. NOT.

Is everyone enjoying Aug-tober?

Cheers from Hans Island.

Thanks Hans for this inspiring poem.

“Jumping Umbrella”. A Hang-glider - Chinglish

hang-glider I an article about the top Chinglish words for 2006 I found this phrase for hang glide. Now you know that way the 250,000,000 Chinese people that study English say hang glide. Just a funny interval in you busy day.

From Gliding To Aviation

If you love gliding you probably gave some consideration to the idea to learn to fly, I don’t necessary mean to start flying heavy planes that one pilot did. Somehow he really got into serious trouble because of it after the feds denies his flight school application and decided that he is a security risk.

What I had in mind was something more like this picture from the Olney, Texas to a gyroplane fly-in and air show. Flying different types of gyroplanes.

flying a gyroplane

Of course you don’t fly alone, the guide is there with you in the other seat, but still it looks like fun.
