Hi all,
I purchased an older CG 1000 harness that I have been flying with since early last year. I really like this harness other than the occasional difficulty I am having trying to extend my arms far enough when flairing to land. Are there any special landing techniques with this harness in translating from prone to vertical? Or is it just me... Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers, Allen, H-G level 2

I've flown with a CG-1000 ever since I got out of the knee hanger stage. I think it gives you a slight forward tilt which actually makes flaring easier. One thing you should remember is to move your hand up on the downtubes when you flare. I think the tendency is to fly the glider on final with your hands relatively low on the downtubes (for greater roll authority on final) and then forget to move them up to flare.

I fly a Raymond Equilizer and had trouble with the lands untill I restricted the slider travel. When I rocked up to land the hang point was too high on my back putting my hands too low on the down tubes. The same would be true if your leg straps are too long.
