Does anyone out there remember a cold 60k downwind sunday morning at Escape Country.Abuncha crazys me included tryed to fly a beach chair that was set in the flat position and inverted so that the support legs became the pilot grasp/control? bars.We were trying to launch on the bank of a shallow gulley into the teeth of a full gale. Most of the (flights)? were of short duration.(how long does it take to fall 8 feet),but one guy actulley seemed to rise a bit before the pitch unstable glider threw him off.I think there may be photos in an old Ground Skimmer. I'd luv to see them again.

guys, one on each corner of a tarpaulin on the Prince Edward Island coast in 1977 - Canadian Boy Scout Jambouree -We were the first and only Boy Scouts to get 25 feet up in ridge lift... We were caught in a hurricane and were trying to break camp, what amazement was on the face of our troop leader when we went sailing over his head and landed 50 feet back of the ridge - unscathed... I laughed so damn hard I peed my pants. Could this actually be called a paraglider flight?
