I am considering buying a WW Eurosport 167. It supposedly has very low hours, never wrecked, and has a few extra downtubes thrown in. Any ideas on a fair offer, assuming it is what it seems to be? Also, are there any bad handling characteristics or other design/maintenance gremlins to be aware of? I would like to make a modest move up from a Vision Mk IV 19. I am a hang II, and well on my way with 1 hour + ridge/thermal flights. hook in at 240. Thanks in advance to anyone

Ron, With only 1+ hours of soaring experience, you shouldn't be in a hurry to upgrade to a higher performing glider. Your MK IV will serve you well while you learn to soar. You should give serious thought to flying it for a whole season before you buy another glider. The Eurosport is a good glider but, you are still just beginning to learn to fly the one you already own. A higher performance wing will not make you a better pilot any sooner and may well slow that process down. A good pilot on a MK IV will fly better than a poor pilot on a Eurosport.

The WW Sport 167 is a great glider, I flew one for 6 years, finaly felt the need for more glide. However, if you weigh 240 lbs, you're too big for a 167. They made a 180 Sport, that would be more suitable for your weight. Are you thinking of selling your Mark IV 19, and if so, how much and where do you live?
