Hi all,

it's been a long time.

I may be going to the Himalayas next month and was wondering about the possibility of taking my hang-glider with me. The place is Manali in Kulu (or Kulu valley) which is in the state of Himashal-Pradesh in the North Himalayas.

The guy I'll be going with knows that people fly there but can't tell me much more.

Does anyone have any info / pointers on this area and the conditions ?

Thanks in advance.

Don't know anything but I've been considering the same thing. Let me know if you survive.

I was there last year, and there is a big tourist thing for PG in the area, which I didn't follow up (HG pilot). It must be possible, but *Run like hell*! Up on the high areas (18 000 ft) the pigeons run along flapping and then jump off the edge of a cliff and dive to get airbourne...

Let us know how you get on.
