Ok this may be a bit of a general question, but I want to learn one or the other!
What advantage is there to paragliding over hang-gliding? Obviously its lighter, more portable, and maybe easier to learn?
Correct me if I am wrong, but hang-gliding looks more like bird like flight to me..... which one (hang-gliding or paragliding) gives u more control of where u are going and what u are doing up there?

You have the same amount of control in both gliders. A paraglider has a thinner envelope of conditions in which it can be flown safely (less turbulence and less wind). Paragliders go slower and come down quicker in glide at above minimum speed. Paragliders can climb at a slightly higher rate at minimum sink (they are bigger than hang gliders).
