Seriously, this thread makes me (fondly) remember building my own hang glider in high school. It actually sort of worked, tho it was definitely in the 'don't fly higher than you want to fall' category. We flew the thing off hills of fill dirt at a residential construction site. Now I'm taking lessons and have just purchased Falcon 195, and am having great fun with my first altitude flights, but it's an entirely different sort of thrill from designing, building and flying something yourself. Danny, I can totally understand your comments about having a passion for doing it yourself
