I have found that Brillo Pads and Comet Cleanser works quite well. Gets out those stains and all those pesky ripstop threads.

Woolite works the best if not stained to badly. Mild and won't hurt the sail. Air dry completely before putting back in bag. I find that setting the glider up at a pressure wash also works, using only cold rinse spray after using the Woolite.. pressure removes all the sand and dirt gains in the batton/rib pockets, and does a pretty good job of cleaning all the hardware.

Woolite may be fine for your washable unmentionables, but I wouldn't put that stuff on my glider. UV + Dacron = BAD. For maximum life I would use water only. Rinsing gets 90% of it anyway. Learn to accept the rest of the dirt. If you feel you MUST use a detergent, rinse it until it hurts, then rinse it again. Let it dry with the battens installed and the glider
