Hi,
I'm off on a family holiday to Mijas (SW of Malaga) and want to get some flying in. Anyone know of some site details or local contacts? You know how it is - I shall be gruff all week if I have to sit on a beach when it's perfectly flyable!

Mijas itself can be flown. Take off near a tv emission antenna and landing on the beach. But the best site in the area is Valle d' Abdalajis near Antequera (50 Miles north of Malaga) There is a paragliding club and scool and a hangglinding club in the village. (Just ask in the village, anyone knows where the club is.) The site offers takeoffs to three main wind directions. Usually in the evening it is possible to fly from 5 to 9 pm . For crosscoutry take off earlyer, but thermals might be very strong for PGs.
