Can someone give me their thoughts on placing a paramotor onto a Wills Wing 195? I know that would turn my glider into an ultralight but the motor would be in place of a hill, winch or tow. I could use the motor to get me high, then shut her down and soar. I would sit in it just like a paraglider. What about taking off and landing, do I need wheels?

I sell paramotors but I would suggest you look into some specific type of motorization. One brand name I've seen flown at the Sun 'N Fun airshow is called the Mosquito. It's what you want I'm pretty sure. A dealer for this device is Bill Feifer of Traverse City Michigan, don't know the number off hand but I'm sure it's listed on the USHGA web site.

Swedish Aerosport make a thing called the Mosquito. A prone harness with an engine/prop at your feet. I have used one for the last 6 months and can recommend them. Climb is about 400 fpm. With the engine off and the prop windmilling the sink rate is barely affected. Take offs are straightforward - only a little less so when there is no wind - you have to concentrate and make a comitted run. If you have to drive a long way for hills and want to retain your independece then there is nothing to beat them. I seem to have lost the email address of the manufacturers but if you email Andy Buchan, the UK importer, I'm sure he could put you in touch with the right
