i just bought an ALINCO DJ190TD 2m handheld tranceiver and i need to do the mods/cap modification. alinco will tell me how only if i have the mods/cap license, which i don't. can someone tell me how to modify this model or call alinco and ask them if you have the mods/cap license. then relay to me. their number is 310-618-8616.
i opened the back of the radio and there was no jumper in sight to be cut so i just closed it back up.
thanks, danny

Danny,
I get the jist from this post that you are not a licensed amateur radio operator. If that is the case, this Alinco radio is type-certified for amateur use only. It is illegal for you to use it if you are not licensed. If this is the case, I suggest you take it back to where you bought it and get your money back. Then you can go buy a vhf radio with the frequencies you need. If you are a ham, and can supply me with your callsign, I would be happy to provide you with the mars/cap mod.
