I have a question which I hope some of you may have some suggestions for:
I need to wear glasses to correct my sight when flying. I usually wear prescription sunglasses which are fine under normal circumstances. If however it gets a bit overcast or I am flying a little late or I am landing out in a shaded area the sunglasses are a bit of a pain. Most pilots would just take them off but because they are also my correcting glasses I cant do this.
I am not happy wearing contact lenses whilst flying nor do I like flying in full light without shades..
Does anybody have any experince of this problem?

I use sun glasses that darken in the sun and lighten when in the shade. I highly recommend them.

I have frames with anti-glare lenses and integrated flip-up polarized shades. Cost a bundle, but they solve every problem I've had. I posted a detailed for that message.

I find that most of the time, the glider itself acts as a sunshade, so my regular prescription glasses are fine. You can also get some 'flip up' shades, the kind that attaches to reg. glasses that can flipped up out of the way when you don't need them.
