Hi,

My second attempt in gaining info was much more successful and I thank everyone who replied, specially Steve (the most unpronounceable surname in the world)Uzochukwu !!

Anyway on refelection it would appear that Lanzarote is not the place to go to learn so I am scrapping that idea. Thanks for the info guys.

I now have two choices:

1: Postpone 'til the British weather gets better.

2: Jump in the car, nip over to Saint Malo and go somewhere in France to learn.

So the question is:

Does anyone know of a Hang Gliding school in France with Englsih speaking instructors that I can contact ?

With British weather, especially at this time of year, it is not practical to take a week or two of holiday with the intention of learning to fly. The weather will almost certainly disappoint you. I don't know if France will be much different.

The best way is often to arrange with work to take 1-3 day holidays at very short notice, then go to the school when they indicate that the weather is suitable for the next day.

If you need to take a block of time off, then travel somewhere with more consistent better weather i.e. Florida.

Here are some schools in the south of France that have E-mail, so you can check how their English is... You were after HG, not PG, right?
