I have a Camper Van with a rigid fibreglass dome which I don't think would be suitable for a glider. I'm wondering whether it's possible to get hold of some kind of rack system which would run along the side of the vehicle.
Any ideas anyone?

Get creative with some PVC tubing dude, You can easily rig something up in an afternoon. Solid up three support points and the rest is a breeze. I've see side supprt PVC racks on compact cars! Strange but effective.
