Hi all,

I am looking for a bit of advice. I am currently half waqy through my EPC and am looking to buy a hang-glider as soon as I am qualified. What is the best glider to get. I want something that is easy to fly but that I will not 'outgrow' too quickly.

Thanks, Mark

It depends on your weight as mid weight people have a large choice but very light or heavy are restricted.

I did my CPC on an Aeros Target. Of course at that stage I had nothing to compare it to. After my CPC, I did what everyone does and bought a Clubman. It didn't occur to me at the time that this was a horrible glider.

Recently, I bought a Doodlebug, and a large Aeros Target to keep the shade off. The idea was, I'd get a few hours on it, and then start using my Aeros Stalker. Fact is, I'm not in any great hurry to switch from the Target! It thermals superbly, takes off and lands like a dream, weighs about 12oz. I tried it on the winch, to convince myself, and yes, it flies great without the doodlebug too.

Oh, and it's cheap, and it shortpacks, and I've even seen it aerotowed.

Regards

John Midgley
