Hi Q
I trained with Sky Systems a couple of years ago.
They are well set up with a good ratio of instructors to pupils. Teaching is very professional.
The main problem I found is that there is no 'Club atmosphere' - arrive at 10am go flying, finish at 4pm and all go your separate ways.
Their payment upfront offer sounds good but there are 2 VERY important things to think about:
1 What happens if you find you don't like paragliding - it happens! I started flying with my son (aged 30), I am still flying but my son gave it up at EP stage - he liked it, but not as much as he expected.
2 How long does the offer last. It is now mid October - not the best time to start to paraglide in the UK. If the offer only lasts for 6 months you could find yourself only part way through your training when the offer has run out!
Its well worth trying to bargain with the school - they will be probably be short of new students and sales at this time of year.
Good luck,

Hi, I am currently Learning with Purple Haze. I have found the staff to be helpful and understanding ( esp when i put the canopy into a gorse bush!!)
fom what i can see the other posts are correct, most of the schools discount the price og the EP against purchase price of a canopy.
Having said that i have found a website in S Africa who do import to this country so you can get the canopy cheaper, pay the CP fees and still save some cash. try having a look at this site..
